Raksystems acquires Aquademica

Raksystems Group continues its strong growth in Sweden by acquiring leak detection company Aquademica

Raksystems Group, a corporate group set on becoming the European leader in sustainable property development, has deepened its service offering in Sweden by purchasing the entire share capital of Aquademica AB on 13 July 2022. The company currently employs more than 30 experts and its projected turnover for 2022 stands at around EUR 4 million.

Founded in 2005, Aquademica specialises in leak detection, humidity control services, moisture damage surveys and measurements, indoor air surveys and thermal imaging of building envelopes. Each year, the company’s experts participate in around 1500 projects, and its largest corporate customers include the likes of Skanska, NCC and Vattenfall. The company serves consumers, housing companies, insurance companies and other business customers through its eight branches located in Sweden.

“Aquademica’s leak detection and moisture investigation services fit perfectly with the Raksystems Dry-IT and Monomeet portfolios which we acquired in 2019 and 2021 respectively, thus deepening and strengthening our Green Building Services business operations. Indeed, we are seeking both to further strengthen our foothold as a service provider for Swedish construction companies and property owners and to expand our Green Building Services offering in Sweden to also include consumer customers,” says Raksystems Group CEO Marko Malmivaara.

“We will be further strengthened by this merger with an expert company that is promoting sustainable development in the real estate sector. Moving forward, we will be able to serve our customers in an increasingly diverse way and also offer our experts a wide range of career development opportunities with the expanding Raksystems Group,” explains Aquademica AB’s founders Björn Harling and Jan Andtback.

Raksystems Group is a leading Nordic property wellbeing expert group that serves its Finnish and Swedish customers in the areas of green construction, property surveys, inspections and certifications, and construction, supervision and planning services.

Following the acquisition, Raksystems Group’s pro forma turnover for 2022 is set to rise to EUR 90 million, and its total workforce rice to 730 experts.
