Raksystems significantly expands its business in Sweden by acquiring Projektledarhuset i Stockholm AB

Raksystems Group has expanded its service portfolio in Sweden by acquiring the entire share capital of property consulting firm Projektledarhuset i Stockholm AB, which operates in Stockholm and its surroundings. The contract has been signed on the 11th of June and the closing date is in July 2020. The acquisition allows Raksystems Group to offer its Swedish customers the same comprehensive service portfolio as in Finland which covers the entire lifecycle of a property.

Established in 2005, Projektledarhuset has extensive experience in a variety of project management assignments in the construction industry. The company’s net sales will be approximately SEK 120 million during the accounting period that will end in June 2020. The company has 65 full-time employees and dozens of sub-consultants.

Projektledarhuset offers its customers project management services for construction and renovation projects, condition surveys, urban and environmental planning, as well as environmental certification. The company’s service portfolio also includes the most commonly used international environmental certification system LEED, Europe’s most popular environmental certification BREEAM and environmental planning services. The company assists its customers in construction and renovation projects throughout the project period. Projektledarhuset has an extensive clientele including companies from the construction and property industries, public organizations, private customers and housing companies. Examples of the company’s customers: Locum, the city of Stockholm, Vasakronan and a number of housing companies.

“The strong expertise of Projektledarhuset’s experts and the company’s excellent reputation convinced us. The company is a great addition to Raksystems Group, and the services provided by its experts go well with the services provided by our Swedish subsidiary Dry-IT. Now we can offer our Swedish customers more extensive services throughout the property lifecycle. Our plan for the future is to further increase our clientele in Sweden,” says Marko Malmivaara, the Managing Director of Raksystems Group.

The acquisition that was completed in June allows Raksystems Group to expand its business in Sweden. Through Dry-IT, which Raksystems acquired in May 2019, Raksystems Group’s services in Sweden already included humidity management, energy and environmental consulting services for properties. Dry-IT is well known for its humidity management services for large construction sites and sustainability expertise for all properties.

“In our journey with Raksystems’ Swedish subsidiary Dry-IT and the entire Group, I see excellent synergy benefits and an opportunity to expand the service portfolio we offer to our current customers. I’m eagerly anticipating the opportunity to expand our services to the rest of Sweden and the support Raksystems Group will offer us to grow our business,” says Örjan Kjellström, the Managing Director of Projektledarhuset i Stockholm AB.

The acquisition increases Raksystems Groups’ pro forma net sales to more than EUR 50 million and the company’s staff to a total of 440. The acquisition strengthens the position of Raksystems Group as the leading property wellbeing expert in the Nordic countries.
